Genova City Airport or Genoa Christopher Columbus Airport (IATA: GOA, ICAO: LIMJ), is an international airport built on an artificial peninsula about 4 NM west of Genoa. It is the main airport for Liguria and serves both the city and its port.
The airport elevation is 4 m above sea level. It has a single runway, numbered 10/28, which is 2,916 m long, suitable for a broad range of aircraft.
In 2024, Genoa Airport recorded 1,335,095 passengers and 15,941 aircraft movements. In the first nine months of 2025, traffic surged to 1,218,780 passengers, a +17.8% increase over the same period in 2024, making the airport close to breaking its pre-COVID record of 1.5 million.
For the summer 2025 season, the airport has added capacity and new routes: Wizz Air is launching a route to Warsaw, and flights to Krakow are being strengthened. The international sector is growing significantly, with a +43.5% increase in international passengers in the first nine months of 2025.
Genoa Airport is managed by Aeroporto di Genova S.p.A. and plays a growing role in regional connectivity, especially for tourism and business. The airport’s long-term plans include further expansion of its route network and capacity to support Liguria’s economic development.
