Foggia “Gino Lisa” Airport, Italy

Foggia “Gino Lisa” Airport (IATA: FOG, ICAO: LIBF) is a public airport serving the city of Foggia in the Apulia region of southern Italy. It is operated by Aeroporti di Puglia S.p.A. The airfield sits at an elevation of 81 m above sea level.

The airport has a single asphalt runway numbered 16/34, which is 1,795 m long, capable of handling light to medium aircraft. A main airline based there is Alidaunia, which operates scheduled and charter helicopter and fixed-wing services, including routes to the Tremiti Islands.

Recent years have shown strong growth: in January 2025, passenger numbers rose by +154% compared to January 2024. By August 2025, the airport had carried 53,609 passengers in the first eight months of the year — a +49.3% increase over the same period in 2024. This was achieved even though flight capacity increased by +72%, indicating solid demand.

In 2024, traffic was also up: over the first 10 months, the airport handled 49,637 passengers, an increase of 17.3% compared to the previous year.

According to the 2025–2027 integrated airport plan, the runway has been extended (now listed as 15/33 in some planning documents) to support larger aircraft capacity, helping the airport target greater connectivity across the region, including tourist areas like the Gargano.

Ground access includes a direct link to the Foggia ring road (SS16), and there is a bus service connecting the terminal with Foggia city centre.
