Alghero – Riviera del Corallo Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Alghero – Riviera del Corallo, IATA: AHO, ICAO: LIEA), also known as Alghero–Fertilia Airport (after the nearby village of Fertilia), is an international airport situated about 4.3 NM (8 km) north-northwest of the city of Alghero in northern Sardinia. Operated by SO.GE.A.AL, it is one of Sardinia’s three main airports, along with Olbia and Cagliari.
In 2024, Alghero Airport handled 1,611,625 passengers, an increase of 7.85% compared to 2023. The 2025 summer schedule promises to be the airport’s strongest ever: there will be 36 routes (15 domestic and 21 international), connecting Alghero with 15 countries across Europe and Italy.
The airport’s master plan, approved by ENAC in 2022, supports sustainable growth and infrastructure development. Its development policy focuses on expanding strategic connections, increasing frequencies, and reducing the seasonality of traffic.
The airfield itself covers around 246 hectares. It has a single asphalt runway (02/20), which is 3,000 m (9,843 ft) long, giving it the flexibility to accommodate a mix of general aviation and commercial aircraft.
