Aosta Airport, officially Corrado Gex Airport (IATA: AOT, ICAO: LIMW), is the regional airport serving Italy’s Aosta Valley, located just east of the city of Aosta in the municipality of Saint‑Christophe. Operated by AVDA S.p.A., the airport primarily serves general aviation, business flights, and rescue operations, with limited commercial service planned.
The airport has a single asphalt runway (09/27) measuring 1,499 m, supporting light aircraft, air taxis, and small regional planes.
Recent infrastructure projects are modernizing Aosta Airport. A new 3,400 m² passenger terminal is scheduled to open in 2025, alongside expanded parking and improved ground access. GPS-based instrument flight procedures are being implemented to enhance safety in challenging mountain weather conditions.
Part of the airport is being repurposed as a Civil Protection Operations Center, coordinating 112 emergency services, rescue, and disaster management. Fire‑rescue services are also being upgraded to strengthen overall safety.
Despite these improvements, Aosta Airport continues to rely mainly on general aviation and air-rescue operations, with seasonal commercial flights yet to be fully reintroduced.
Corrado Gex Airport remains a key gateway to the Aosta Valley, balancing specialized aviation needs with its strategic role in emergency services while preparing for future passenger growth.
