Aktion National Airport (IATA: PVK, ICAO: LGPZ) serves Preveza and Lefkada in western Greece and is also used by NATO and the Hellenic Air Force. Built in 1968, it came under the management of the Fraport AG / Copelouzos Group in autumn 2016 through a 40‑year concession. Since then, Fraport Greece has invested in expanding and modernizing the terminal, increasing check-in counters, departure gates, and security lanes.
Traffic at PVK has climbed strongly. In 2024, the 14 regional airports managed by Fraport Greece — including Aktion — handled over 36 million passengers in total. By October 2025, Fraport reported that the same network had carried 35.28 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%.
Meanwhile, Fraport is carrying out safety and infrastructure upgrades: a fourth phase of runway reconstruction is scheduled, including improvements to runway safety areas.
Aktion Airport has a single asphalt runway (06/24) that is 2,871 m (9,419 ft) long, making it suitable for a wide range of aircraft, from small props and regional jets to long-range aircraft and large airliners.
