Alpe d’Huez Ski Resort

Alpe d’Huez (1,860–3,330 m) is a large and lively resort renowned for its sunny, high-altitude terrain and spectacular views across the Southern Alps. The modern lift system provides quick access to the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area, offering around 250 km of pistes suitable for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers. Highlights include the Pic Blanc summit with panoramic views and the legendary 16 km Sarenne run.

Despite its energetic resort centre, quieter villages such as Vaujany offer a more traditional Alpine experience and are connected directly to the ski area by lift. Families appreciate Alpe d’Huez for its friendly atmosphere, varied pistes, snow reliability, and wide choice of accommodation including chalets, hotels, apartments, and B&Bs. The ski region comprises multiple resorts and villages: Alpe d’Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany, and Villard-Reculas.
