Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport (IATA: LYS, ICAO: LFLL), formerly known as Lyon Satolas Airport, is the international airport serving Lyon and the wider Auvergne–Rhône‑Alpes region. It is located in Colombier‑Saugnieu, about 20 km southeast of Lyon’s city center. The airport sits at an elevation of approximately 250 m.

In 2024, Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport handled 10,463,678 passengers, marking a 4.7% increase compared to the previous year. The airport is operated by Aéroports de Lyon (part of VINCI Airports), which states that LYS now connects to over 120 destinations across more than 40 countries.

On the sustainability front, the airport achieved net-zero carbon emissions (Scopes 1 & 2) in May 2025, making it the first French airport with more than 10 million passengers to reach this milestone.   As of 2025, Lyon Saint-Exupéry holds ACA Level 5 environmental certification, with residual emissions targeted at 500 tonnes of CO₂ per year, offset by certified reforestation projects.
