Fairoaks Airport (ICAO: EGTF) is an operational general aviation airfield located between Chobham and Ottershaw in Surrey, England, about 2 NM north of Woking. The airport is owned by Albemarle Fairoaks Airport Ltd and operated by Fairoaks Operations Ltd. It holds a CAA Ordinary Licence (P560), which authorizes it to carry out passenger transport flights and flight training.
The airfield has one runway (06/24), 813 m long and surfaced with asphalt. Its elevation is around 24 m (80 ft) above sea level. Fuel services (Avgas and Jet A‑1) are available for visiting aircraft.
Fairoaks is used mainly by light aircraft, and it hosts two flight schools: Synergy Aviation and the London Transport Flying Club, plus it functions as a maintenance base. Its business park supports aviation-related enterprises, including the European Regions Airline Association and the British Helicopter Advisory Board.
Navigational support has changed: previously, Fairoaks had an NDB, but it was withdrawn in January 2020. For drones, there is a formal permission process: operations must be cleared with Fairoaks Tower, especially outside standard hours, and there are height limits (400 ft) for flights within the airport’s restriction zone.
The airport is subject to strict noise and planning regulations: no fixed-wing operations are allowed between 22:00 and 07:00, and only four runway movements are permitted before 10:00 and after 20:00 on Sundays.
