Istanbul Atatürk Airport

Operational Support and Handling Supervision by Merkur

Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IATA: ISL, ICAO: LTBA), formerly the primary international airport of Istanbul, Turkey, ceased commercial passenger flight operations on 6 April 2019, when all scheduled services were moved to the new Istanbul Airport.

Since then, Atatürk Airport has been repurposed: it handles general aviation, business/private jets, government flights, maintenance, and aviation fairs.  All cargo operations were also transferred to the new Istanbul Airport by February 2022.

Although commercial operations ended, Atatürk Airport remains an active airfield, maintained by the General Directorate of State Airports (DHMİ).
