Zermatt (1,620–3,883 m) is one of the world’s most iconic ski resorts, located in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. Framed by the Matterhorn, it offers some of the highest-altitude skiing in Europe and a vast, snow-sure ski area shared with Cervinia in Italy. The terrain is extensive and varied, with long glacier runs, scenic cruising pistes, challenging freeride zones, and year-round skiing on the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
The village of Zermatt is car-free, combining luxury hotels, chalets, gourmet dining, and vibrant après-ski. Modern lift infrastructure, high-altitude viewpoints, and world-class mountain restaurants make it a top destination for both recreational skiers and experts.
