Ano Koufonissi is relatively small and can be walked around in just a few hours. Agios Georgios or Chora is the island’s only official settlement, a typical Cycladic fishing village with whitewashed houses and picturesque passages around the port. If you find yourself on the island during the full-moon, you are guaranteed to witness another unique experience, a view of the crest of the neighbouring Keros, which, under the moonlight resembles a couple lying down.
