A spectacular aerial view of the wonderful city of Heraklion. Departing from Heraklion Airport you will fly over the magnificent Minoan palace of Knossos, the center of the Minoan civilisation.

You will then get a bird’s eye view of Mount Psiloritis which is the highest mountain of Crete and the place were god Zeus was raised. Your helicopter tour will then take you over the village of Mires which gets busy during Saturdays as it attracts many visitors to its market that sells everything from vegetables, to animals and various handmade artefacts. You will also fly over Matala which was the ancient port of Phaistos and Gortys and a former fishing community which has now developed into a modern holiday center. Heading towards the South Coast you will fly past the village of Arkalochori which means the village of badgers, as it is believed that these animals abounded in the area. Here you will also find the small cave of Profitis Ilias, which was a place of worship in antiquity. This 45-minute helicopter sightseeing tour ends in Heraklion Airport.
