Tivat Airport (Montenegrin: Аеродром Тиват, Aerodrom Tivat; IATA: TIV, ICAO: LYTV) is an international airport serving the coastal town of Tivat and its surrounding region in Montenegro. It is situated about 3 km south of Tivat’s center, on the flat area known locally as Tivatsko polje.
As Montenegro’s busiest coastal airport, Tivat handles strongly seasonal traffic. In 2024, the airport recorded 1,124,203 passengers, which represents a 32.5% increase compared to 2023. Its growth was driven particularly by Western European markets, with low-cost carriers playing a major role.
According to data from Airports of Montenegro, by November 1 of 2025, Tivat had handled 1,297,538 passengers over the year. For the first two months of 2025 (January and February), the airport carried 33,312 passengers, exceeding the same period in 2024 by 5.3%.
According to Montenegro’s statistics office, in the fourth quarter of 2024, Tivat Airport accounted for 31.4 thousand passenger movements in international transport statistics.
Tivat continues to be strongly linked to tourism: its passenger flows are highly seasonal, with most flights operating in the summer months. Low-cost carriers, such as easyJet, have significantly contributed to recent growth: in 2023‑24, easyJet increased its passenger numbers out of Tivat by 80% compared to previous years.
