Churches 

One of the most photographed churches in the world is in Mykonos Town. The Church of Panagia Paraportiani doesn’t stand alone. There are 400 churches on the whole island of Mykonos.

Museums

There are several museums that enable visitors to learn more about Mykonian history, culture and life. The Aegean Maritime Museum, the Archaeological Museum and the Mykonian Folklore Museum are open during the peak summer season.

Windmills

The Mykonos windmills are iconic feature of the island and of the Cyclades. Capped with wood and straw, the conical structures date back to Venetian times. The windmills can be seen from every point of the village of Mykonos, the island’s principal village, which is frequently called the Chora (which translates to “Country” in Greek, but refers to an island’s “Town”) on Greek islands.

Little Venice

One of the most picturesque areas of the island is right in Mykonos Town where the whitewashed buildings meet the sea. People flock to Little Venice in the early evening and get cozy at the sea facing bars and coffee shops to watch the sun set.

Winery

The Mykonos Vioma Winery is a local wine experience.

The family-run winery and farm offers local food tastings, wine tasting and popular bike tours around the island.
